Welcome to Civil Air Patrol and Squadron 282!
As the squadron commander I would like to personally invite you to experience what the Civil Air Patrol has to offer. If you are a civic minded individual seeking a meaningful way to contribute to your community, we have the program for you! Feel free to stop by one of our squadron meetings and talk to me and my staff about how Civil Air Patrol can help you grow personally, expand your horizons, and increase your knowledge. We have a great group of volunteers that work hard to make our unit the squadron of choice in the Dayton area. We look forward to seeing you here!

Greetings,
My name is Nathan Blevins and I am the cadet commander of Squadron 282. I would like to thank you for taking the time to try and learn more about Civil Air Patrol and our squadron. The Cadet Programs, which is one of CAP’s missions, is a big part of our squadron. Also there is Emergency Services, and Aerospace Education. Being an auxiliary of the United States Air Force we have many of the same goals, standards, and life style of that of the Air Force. We abide by many of the same rules and we carry ourselves with the pride that no one else in any other programs like this can. You learn integrity, self discipline and motivation which are essential in life. The most important thing we have to offer is that we have fun. So I invite you to come out and see what our program has to offer to you, and to make a change for the better.
